Zoey Whistler

Concerned family members reported Zoey Whistler, a 24-year-old Folsom woman, missing on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Whistler was last seen leaving her home around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, dressed in a pink oversized T-shirt and shorts.

Whistler was found alive on May 17 after her car was discovered parked near a bike trail near a park in the Folsom River Trails, according to authorities investigating her disappearance. It is unknown what caused her disappearance and subsequent discovery.

However, it appears that police located the missing woman by searching near Folsom River Trails, as they previously stated in a post that she was frequently known to traverse the area. According to the Folsom Police Department’s Facebook post:

“Zoey Whistler 24 years old last seen around 4 pm on 5/16/23 leaving her residence. She was last seen wearing a Pink Oversized T-Shirt and shorts. Known to frequent the Folsom River trails. If located please contact Folsom PD immediately.”

The online community expressed concern for Zoey Whistler’s well-being shortly after police informed her that she had been found alive. Concerns were raised after a post by Zoey’s family member in response to the department update stated that Zoey was hospitalized after being discovered alive.

Jenny Fillinger-Whistler, a woman identified as Zoey Whistler’s mother, posted that Zoey Whistler was also on life support following her hospitalization. Concerns were exacerbated by the fact that authorities have not revealed what happened to the missing woman. The post stated:

“Thank u all for the support!! Thanking FPD and cherished neighbors/friends for helping us find Zoey. She is now fighting for her life on support. Please continue to pray for her fight beautiFULL COMMUNity.”

According to Rou Keshavraz, a social media user, the missing woman was on a ventilator while her parents waited for her to wake up.

“Zoey’s parents wanted me to let you know that her family and I are in the hospital.” We have her on ventilators and are waiting for her to become conscious. Please pray for her and her family that she recovers and returns home to them.”

The community rallied behind the missing woman’s family shortly after Jenny Fillinger-Whistler posted an update on her daughter’s condition, flooding the page with prayers for Zoey’s quick recovery. According to one user:

” Jenny and Robert, I’m praying nonstop that God will watch over her and your family and give her the strength to get through this.” Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you! “You have the support of the community.”

Another added:

“Jenny!!! I’m considering you! I forwarded your prayer request to our local friends! Please let me know if you require anything!! I’m not all that far away!! “I’m sending you hugs!”

Meanwhile, police have yet to disclose additional information on the missing woman’s case.
