In 2013, an unidentified disabled woman living on the streets of Detroit, Michigan, without a home was found. Since then, the woman has lived in an adult foster care facility in Romulus, Michigan, where she has not been named.

The woman has both knees cut off, and she is currently unable to think clearly and may have amnesia. The woman has no idea what her name is, how old she is, or where she is from. She calls herself “China Black,” and she thinks Peter Smith was her husband. She thinks they have a California-based son named David.

Sgt. Sarah Krebs of the Michigan State Police Missing Persons Unit told Fox 2 News, “I know she wants to be found and she wants to be with her family again.” “I’m going to guess that she has some kind of memory problem or brain injury because she seems to want to know who she is but can’t remember.”

The woman has not been named, but she is thought to be between 50 and 60 years old. She says she’s been alive for 52 years. The woman is about 110 to 130 pounds and between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall. Her black hair is getting grey.

The woman is thought to have grown up in Detroit, Michigan, according to the Missing In Michigan Facebook page. She might have gone to Osborn High School or Cooley High School. The woman thinks that her mother was born in Lakeland, Florida, and that her father is a man named “Big Al” who drives a black pickup truck. She has gone by both “Joynez Johnson” and “CJ Jones.”

Sgt. Krebs told Fox 2 News, “We know that at some point in her life, she was probably homeless, which led to her being a double amputee. It sounds like frostbite may have caused her to lose both of her legs.” “She could be from anywhere, but based on what we’ve heard, I think she’s been here for a while and probably has family back home.”

Since 2014, “China Black” has lived in the Beyond Boundaries Adult Foster Care Facility in Romulus, Michigan. She hasn’t been identified or claimed by family, friends, or anyone else who says they know who she is.
