Ronald Henry, 34, was last seen on December 5, 2022, in Platteville, Wisconsin. He vanished after leaving his friend’s farmhouse, where he was working.

Early Life

Ronald Henry Jr. grew up in a family of seven siblings in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Henry was living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with his youngest brother at the time of his disappearance. He was in a seven-month relationship with Alicia, whom he met at work.

In December 2022, Henry accepted a live-in position at a farm in Platteville, Wisconsin. He’d done it before and had known the people he was staying with for years.

Disappearance of Ronald Henry

Ronald Henry left his home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 1, 2022, and took a Greyhound bus to Platteville, Wisconsin, about two hours away. He had travelled there with a friend and his uncle for a live-in farm job, and was scheduled to return to Milwaukee on December 17.

On December 3, 2022, Henry called his mother and everything seemed normal.

On December 4, 2022, Henry and his friend spent the day watching football before going out to a few Platteville bars for the night. Henry called his girlfriend around midnight and told her he would call her again the next day during his lunch break at noon.

Henry was last seen texting on the couch at the farmhouse on Condry Road in Platteville, Wisconsin, at 3:30 a.m. on December 5, 2022.

Ronald Henry was nowhere to be found when his friend awoke at 5:30 a.m. to begin work. The television was still turned on, and Henry’s belongings were still there.

When the owner of the farmhouse awoke at 7:30 a.m., he discovered Henry had left and the front door to the residence had been left open.

The owner later discovered a voicemail left by Henry at noon on December 5 that read, “Jim, it’s Ronald. Please contact me as soon as possible.” He allegedly sounded worried in the message. This is Henry’s last known communication.

Ronald Henry never returned home and has never been found.

When she couldn’t reach him, his girlfriend filed a missing person’s report with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office on December 7, 2022.

Search and Investigation

Ronald Henry’s cell phone last pinged to an area about a half mile away from his friend’s farmhouse on December 6, 2022, before being turned off shortly after 8:00 p.m.

On December 8, 2022, authorities used drones, helicopters, and K9 units to search the property on Condry Road in Platteville, Wisconsin, but they found no trace of Ronald Henry.

Following his disappearance, authorities received unconfirmed sighting reports of Ronald Henry from two witnesses in Platteville.


There was no evidence, means, or motive for foul play in Ronald Henry’s disappearance, according to police. The investigation is still ongoing.
