Background
Rebekah Bramel was born on January 9, 1981, in Portland, Oregon, and grew up with four siblings.
She adored nature, was an accomplished horticulturist, and considered a career in landscape architecture. Her interests included mountain biking, plants, painting, and jewelry making.
Rebekah’s behaviour had reportedly become manic and erratic in the months preceding her disappearance. She had been staying up late, drinking excessively, and accumulating credit card debt. Evidence of undiagnosed bipolar disorder, according to her family.
Her relationship with her family had become strained at the time of her disappearance. They did not believe she was a threat to others, but her boyfriend believed she was a threat to herself.
The Disappearance of Rebekah Bramel
Rebekah Bramel was last seen on April 30, 2007 at her mother’s house in Portland, Oregon. She was reportedly acting strangely when she arrived at her mother’s house late that evening. She left when her mother asked her to return home and rest.
This is the last confirmed sighting of Rebekah. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
The Investigation of Case
Rebekah was spotted in the Eugene/Springfield area of Oregon in early May 2007, but her whereabouts were never confirmed.
Rebekah’s car, which she had borrowed from a friend, was discovered abandoned on an isolated logging road between Deerhorn and Goodpasture Roads in rural Lane County, east of Springfield, in early May 2007.
The vehicle was discovered with an empty gas tank and a flat tire, as well as items from Rebekah’s wallet strewn across the dashboard, including her prized cigarette case.
She had previously visited the area with her boyfriend, but it is unclear why she would return given that she has no relatives in the area.
There was no sign of Rebekah at the scene, but the vehicle sat in a tow lot for a month before the owner and authorities were notified.
Investigators believe Rebekah died somewhere near where her car was discovered, but her body has never been found. Her boyfriend believes she went into the forest on purpose to die.

Rebekah Bramel’s whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unknown. Her case has been classified as endangered missing and is still unsolved.

On January 9, 1981, a Caucasian female was born. Rebekah is 5’7″ tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. Her nose and forehead have a red mark/scar.
Rebekah has several tattoos, including a green tree on her back, a celtic knot on her lower back, a black line on both legs, the word “Lucky” on her left leg, and the word “Girl” on her right leg.
