Kianna Galvin 17 year of age was last seen in South Elgin, Illinois on May 6, 2016. She disappeared after telling a family member she was going to meet friends at a nearby park.

Background of Kianna Galvin

Kianna Galvin was born to Fionna Galvin and Everick York on July 16, 1998.

Kianna first attended South Elgin High School before moving to Rockford, Illinois, to live with her father for a year and attend Auburn High School. She returned to South Elgin with a GED and plans to study art and design in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kianna was living in a house on Concord Avenue in South Elgin, Illinois, with her mother and younger sister at the time of her disappearance. She was employed full-time as a housekeeper at a senior care facility in South Elgin.

Kianna had recently ended her relationship with her ex-boyfriend and was single at the time of her disappearance. She had recently been released from juvenile probation after an argument with her mother, and she had been listed as a runaway in 2013 and 2014.

Disappearance of Kianna

Kianna Galvin was fired from her full-time housekeeping job at a rehab centre for the elderly in South Elgin, Illinois, on May 5, 2016. She had been there for about two months but was said to have had some attendance problems.

Kianna was reportedly upset but did not appear distressed. She went shopping with her mother later that day and bought steaks to cook for Mother’s Day. Kianna called her mother around 7:00 a.m. on May 6, 2016, as she was leaving for work. Everything appeared to be normal, and she was said to be in a good mood.

Kianna left home at 12:30 p.m., telling her younger sister that she was going to meet friends at nearby Jim Hansen Park, located about three blocks away on 338 Valley Forge Avenue, and that she would return in a few hours. Kianna Galvin never returned home and has never been heard from again.

When her mother was unable to locate Kianna, she filed a missing person’s report with the South Elgin Police Department on May 8, 2016.


Kianna Galvin vanished without her wallet, purse, or cell phone charger, which she had left at home. She doesn’t have a car, a bank account, or access to a credit card.

Blood Found On A Neighbor’s Trash

A neighbour who lived next door to the unidentified man told police on May 12, 2016, that he found traces of blood on the lid of his garbage can, about six days after Kianna Galvin went missing.

Kianna’s blood was tested and determined to be hers. The neighbor also told police that he saw Kianna enter the man’s home on the day of her disappearance or the day before.

On June 6, 2016, authorities were informed that remodelling work had been completed in the bathroom of the Revere Road house.
The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was later found guilty of assaulting another woman and sentenced to fifteen years in prison.


Kianna Galvin’s disappearance is being investigated as a homicide, according to authorities. The Revere Road resident was not named a suspect in Kianna Galvin’s disappearance, but he is still a person of interest.

Physical Description:
On July 16, 1998, a biracial/African American female was born. Kianna is 5’4 – 5’6 tall, has brown hair, hazel eyes, and weighs 125 – 150 pounds.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Kianna has a heart, a pulse sign, and a cross tattooed on her left wrist. Her navel and right nostril are pierced; her ears are double-pierced, but she was not wearing earrings when she went missing.

Clothing and accessories:
Kianna was last seen in a black tank top, black yoga pants with outside studs, size 9 zebra print Nike flip-flops, and brown sunglasses. She wore a silver stud on her right nostril and a gold and pink navel ring.
