Three inmates have attacked 15 times a man who is incarcerated for allegedly assaulting and sexually assaulting three children.

Inmates at the Wichita County Jail in Texas, United States, attacked Michael George Corey after hearing about his trial on the news.

The attack, which lasted roughly one minute, occurred as he was being returned to a section of the jail housing suspects accused of the most serious crimes.

Michael George Corey, 36, has been incarcerated for three and a half years after being arrested in February 2018 on 45 counts of sex crimes against three children aged 8, 10, and 11.

He is being held on a bond of $675,000.

Prior to that, in 2016, he was on ten years’ probation for three counts of injury to a child. Both cases involve the identical child.

According to Wichita Falls station KFDX, he allegedly forced the children to bend over and take up to 90 ‘licks’ from a paddle with zip ties attached while his foster parents watched. Later, charges against the foster parents were dismissed.

KFDX reports that, according to an affidavit for the most recent case, he also forced the children to engage in sex acts on each other, and they complied because he threatened to beat them more severely if they did not.

According to the police, they discovered a laptop on which Corey allegedly viewed pornographic material during the abuse. Additionally, police discovered video, although it is unclear what the video depicts.

15 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, 12 counts of employing, inducing, or authorizing a child to engage in sexual performance, 10 counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, five counts of indecency with a child by exposure, and three counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 are among Corey’s 45 charges.

The abuse was reported to police by the eight-year-old’s school staff. When the police visited the mobile home in the 1100 block of Hawthorne, they discovered the abuse of the other children.

According to USA Today, at the residence, police discovered a wooden paddle with the words ‘Act Right’ written in black lettering.

The 10-year-old girl told authorities that Corey would have her touch bricks in the front yard of a home while bending over.

If she moved or fell to the ground, she had until the count of three to get back up; otherwise, Corey would restart the number of times he would hit her.

She stated that he sometimes did not give her a chance and would continue to strike her wherever he could while she was on the ground.

The foster parent, Tammy Lynn Vaughn, allegedly sat next to her on the sofa to count the number of slaps.

According to USA Today, she told police in 2016 that she had no’reasonable explanation’ for why she did not report the abuse.

On Thursday, court personnel observed Corey with a bruise and a black eye, a day after he was assaulted on Wednesday.

KFDX reports that Sheriff Duke stated five jail officers intervened in less than a minute to stop the beating. Three prisoners will face charges.
