Jessica grew up in Unicoi County, Tennessee, as the youngest of three sisters.

Jessica moved to Goldsboro, North Carolina, shortly before Christmas 2011, to live with her boyfriend, Carson Cameron, 52. They shared a house on Old Old Grantham Road with two other people.

Her family was concerned about the relationship and tried unsuccessfully to steer her away from her new boyfriend. Jessica had previously struggled with substance abuse issues, and Cameron, according to her family, was always on drugs.

Despite the stress, she maintained daily contact with her family, the most recent being a phone call with her sister Ashley in late January 2012.

During the call, Jessica informed her sister that she would not be paid until the following week and that her phone would run out of time before then.

Details of Disappearance

Jessica Garino was last seen on January 23, 2012, at the Carolina Treatment Center, an outpatient drug treatment facility in Goldsboro, North Carolina, located in the 1700 block of East Ash Street.

Two days later, on January 25, 2012, a coworker claims to have seen her.

Jessica was reported missing to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and the Erwin Police Department in Tennessee after she lost contact with her family for a few weeks.

Investigation of Case

Jessica’s boyfriend, Carson Cameron, told investigators she had left abruptly in the middle of the night, leaving her personal belongings behind.

Cameron and Jessica left together, according to her roommates, but Cameron returned alone a few days later.

Jessica’s food stamp card was used in the Charleston, South Carolina and Goldsboro, North Carolina areas for about a month after she vanished.

Her social media accounts have been inactive since January 2012.

Cameron has been arrested on other charges since Jessica went missing, but he refuses to talk about her case.

Whereabouts of Jessica

The location of Jessica Garino remains unknown, as do the circumstances regarding her disappearance. Authorities have had few leads in her case. Her case is currently classified as endangered missing.
