A man from Evansville who had been missing for more than a month was found dead in his crashed car under a bridge on Friday.

On December 10, 2022, Brian Colbert, who was 47 years old and from Evansville, was reported missing by his family. Colbert was last seen in nearby Princeton, so the Evansville Police Department turned its search for him over to the Indiana State Police.

On Friday, the wrecked car of an Evansville man who had been missing for more than a month was found under a bridge.

Brian Colbert’s family said he was missing on December 10, 2022. He was 47 years old and from Evansville. Colbert was last seen in the nearby town of Princeton, so the Evansville Police Department asked the Indiana State Police to look for him.

Investigators think that Colbert was driving at night on Old U.S. 41 on December 9 when he drove to the left of the centre line and went off the road on the east side.

His car fell into a deep gully, flipped over, and ended up in Pigeon Creek near the bridge.

Detectives said that anyone driving on Old U.S. 41 would not have been able to see the car. They also think that the car moved under the bridge because the creek level went up after it rained. This made it even harder to find.
