Details of Disappearance
Alicia was last seen on September 15, 2019, in Glendale, Arizona. She came downstairs for a glass of water at 1:00 a.m. and asked her mother why she was still awake. Her mother was unconcerned and went to sleep.
When her mother awoke at 7:00 a.m., the back door was open, chairs were positioned against a brick wall in the backyard, and shoe prints matching Alicia’s sneakers were present. She appeared to have climbed over the wall using the chairs.
Alicia had left her house on foot sometime during the night near 45th Avenue and Rose Lane. She brought a small black backpack, her silver iPhone 6, and her silver Apple MacBook computer, but not the chargers. She left behind her laptop for school and her desktop computer for gaming.
Her mother believes she left to meet with someone she’d met online. She left a note that said, “I bolted. I swear I’ll be back. I apologize. — Alicia” She never returned and has not been seen or heard from since.
According to the police, Alicia is very tech-savvy, so they took her phone and computer to make it more difficult to find her. She had not been fighting with her family or expressing dissatisfaction prior to her disappearance.
At the time of her disappearance, Alicia was a student at Bourgade Catholic High School. Alicia preferred a strict routine with no deviations from her schedule, according to her mother, and disliked going out in public. She was prone to emotional breakdowns and required assistance with socializing. Her mother believes she was not expecting to be gone for so long and is being held against her will. Her case is still unsolved.
