According to authorities, actor Jonathan Majors was detained in New York on Saturday morning and charged with strangling, harassment, and assault.
New York City police said officers responded to a 911 call soon after 11:00 a.m. regarding an alleged domestic altercation in a Chelsea neighborhood apartment.
A 30-year-old woman reported being assaulted to police. The NYPD stated that officers took Majors, 33, into custody without incident.
According to authorities, the victim had minor head and neck injuries and was sent to a local hospital in stable condition.
A spokeswoman for Majors denied any wrongdoing by the actor in a statement to ABC News.

Majors was nominated for an Emmy in 2021 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in HBO’s “Lovecraft Country.” He most recently appeared in “Creed III.”
